Digital Storyteller (Ref:19134)

You will be responsible for:

  • taking charge of developing digital story-telling strategy for the branding of various venues, including Xiqu Centre, Freespace and Lyric Theatre Complex and their programmes to ensure consistency with the overarching branding of the District;
  • shaping the venues’ online voice: creating clear, engaging content for the digital channels including its social media accounts (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Weibo) and upcoming blog in co-ordination with Marketing and Customer Experience Department and Communications and Public Affairs Department;
  • creating content with digital creative media, such as videos, photos, graphics and text;
  • working with a small team of in-house writers and editors and programme teams to co-ordinate the production of the above content; and
  • liaising with freelancers to communicate deliverables, deadlines, and revisions.

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree or equivalent;
  • have at least 6 years of experience in digital journalism, visual communications, digital content marketing or related fields, preferably with 2 years at managerial level;
  • have an interest in exploring new ways to tell stories and engage local and overseas audiences;
  • have a strong sense of visual literacy and be conversant in social media and social media best practices;
  • be extremely creative and adventurous, with strong attention to details;
  • have strong people skills and proven experience in working with different teams and departments, preferably in a major institution or corporation; and
  • be fluent in Cantonese and English.
