Chief Manager, Claims Management (Ref:19303)

You will be responsible for:

  • establishing and implementing an effective and proper approach and holistic strategies for managing claims received in respect of the WKCDA projects;
  • taking proper and effective implementation measures in avoiding, administering, assessing, resolving and reporting all claims received from the consultants and contractors on the project;
  • providing guidance on the contract formulation and compliance processes; and
  • initiating, communicating and working with members at all levels in the Contracts and Control Department, other teams and peer groups in the Projects Division, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders, and interacting and liaising with the Government or other organisations in relation to claims management on the WKCDA projects.

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree in quantity surveying or equivalent;
  • possess a professional membership of relevant institution such as RICS, HKIS or equivalent, qualifications in legal studies, arbitration or mediation is an advantage;
  • have at least 15 years of post-qualification experience in procurement, costing and contracts administration and claims management in the construction industry in both private and public sectors; and
  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
