Curatorial Assistant, Learning and Interpretation (Ref:19270)

Hong Kong Island (Cyberport Office)

You will be responsible for:

  • assisting in project implementation and coordination of learning programmes that are inclusive for a wide range of audience, including but not limited to students/teachers of different grade level, educators, parents, and caretakers;
  • assisting the development, and delivery of learning and interpretive content and resources with a focus on visual art, design, architecture, and moving image;
  • assisting in conducting research in fields such as learning and teaching pedagogy, visual culture learning, educators’ development, in-gallery learning experience, and outreach strategies with an aim to offer a range of learning tools that allow for an expanded participation for students and educators;
  • assisting to the development and implementation of an evaluation plan to ensure outcomes are being met and issues are resolved;
  • maintaining good relationships and ensuring effective communication within the school community and the learning and interpretation team; and
  • assisting the Learning and Interpretation team in all events and activities with administrative support.


You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree, preferably in Museum Education, Early Childhood Education, Fine Arts, Design, Architecture, Moving Images, Creative Media, Cultural Management or equivalent;
  • have at least 2 years of work experience in assisting implementation of learning and interpretation programmes, preferably in an art and cultural organisation; experience in working with schools and/or children and families is considered as an advantage;
  • be highly-organised, detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to work independently and cooperatively with others in a fast-paced environment;
  • have strong project coordination skills, research skills, problem-solving skills as well as administrative skills; and
  • have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
