Landscape Supervisor (Ref:19224)

Kowloon (WKCDA Project Site Office)

You will be engaged in the work of the District Facility Services Department (Landscape Team) of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority. Contributing to the mission of the West Kowloon Cultural District, you will be responsible for:

  • assisting the supervision of landscape maintenance of the district, including maintenance of trees, plants, lawns and related horticultural matters in the Art Park, Nursery Park, and other areas under the control of the Authority;
  • supervising, coordinating, and implementing the maintenance work of frontline gardener and soft landscape maintenance contractor, such as watering, replacing and trimming plants, weeding, fertilising, pest control, thinning and pruning trees, and placing potted plants for event setup;
  • assisting in the treatment and reinstatement of plants after the park activities and event, lawns rehabilitation work;
  • providing emergency support services in response to adverse weather such as typhoon and thunderstorm warnings;
  • working on weekends or holidays in response to park activities or events;
  • ensuring safety standards apply to assigned works; and
  • performing the work assigned by the General Manager of District Facility Services Department or his delegates and complete the work efficiently.


You should:

  • be a Secondary 5 graduate or possess horticultural related qualifications;
  • possess 3-5 years of horticultural maintenance or gardening experience; preferably in large-scale parks, football field, or various lawns maintenance and gardening;
  • be able to operate gardening machinery or power tools, such as lawn mowers, fence shears, hand-pushing lawn shovels, chain saw etc.; holder of a light goods vehicle driver's license is preferable;
  • adapt to outdoor work and 5 days of work;
  • be diligent, responsible, organised, honest and passionate about flower planting and gardening, knowledge of local plants is a plus;
  • have teamwork and good communication skills; and
  • be able to speak fluent Cantonese and English preferable.
