Assistant Manager, Ticketing (Ref:19071K)

You will be responsible for:

  • agreeing price points, event by event, in advance of on-sale, in respect of rates for educational establishments, families, social/corporate/workplace groups and targeted individuals;
  • being the primary point of contact for third party ticket distribution channels, particularly businesses operating as West Kowloon sales outlets, and manage those relationships;
  • ensuring offers and deals represent value for money without damaging yield, to include devising discounts, promotional prices and value-added packages;
  • attending external industry events, particularly within the travel trade, to establish and consolidate West Kowloon’s presence in the marketplace and plan and host reciprocal events at West Kowloon’s venues to promote content and facilities, in liaison with the Marketing team;
  • strategically capitalising on existing markets and taking a tactical approach to new market penetration;
  • regularly producing sales tracking reports which identify seasonal fluctuation and contribute data and insight for use in revenue/attendance forecasting and income projections;
  • administration and management of inventory relating to the travel trade, third party agents and group organisers; to include credit control and all aspects of order fulfilment;
  • contributing to the production and distribution of event closing reports, detailing comprehensive sales data for hirers and internal associates; and
  • supporting the ticketing team by performing other related general duties from time to time as directed by the Ticketing Manager.

 

You should:

  • possess a higher diploma or above in Event Management, Tourism, Hospitality, Marketing, Business or related disciplines;
  • have at least 5 years of relevant experience in operating effectively within a busy sales environment, linked to ticketing and / or the travel trade;
  • demonstrate commercial acuity and possess exceptional people skills, with the ability to persuade and influence;
  • be prepared to occasionally work at weekends and evenings; and
  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
