You will be responsible for:

  • developing and implementing an efficient workplace infrastructure and system for WKCDA to manage the ongoing provision of activities and services to ensure effective, smooth and efficient performance across all WKCDA workplaces;
  • developing and implementing relevant workplace policies, procedures and guidelines including workplace emergency plans;
  • ensuring continual improvement of workplace operations through the evaluation of the present and future needs of the organisation, including the review, update and implementation of necessary business processes and systems;
  • developing comprehensive workplace standards for all aspects of the environment including furniture, fixtures within the facilities;
  • managing the workplace guidelines, policy and training for all aspects of the work environment including comprehensive space allocation records and documentation of operations;
  • developing the short, medium and long term office accommodation strategies and planning for the Authority including overseeing and managing all workplace storage requirements including offsite for physical records including a system for sorting, filing, indexing, backup and protection;
  • overseeing the day to day management of the workplace functions and assess the most effective method of providing the proper level of support at the appropriate cost;
  • managing and supervise interior fit-outs, workplace design and space allocation as well as all office relocation projects;
  • managing workplace safety programs, driving continuous improvement in all areas and chairing the workplace safety committee to oversee corporate office workplaces to ensure compliance with all relevant codes and requirements; and
  • managing workplace operations and procedures, coordinating with relevant departments on workplace equipment, managing relationships with vendors and service providers, procurement of equipment and supplies etc. to ensure workplace efficiency is maintained.  This would include but not be limited to optimising workplace operations, ensuring business continuity, and working closely with the various teams on, safety and security to provide uninterrupted services.

 

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree preferably in Business Administration, Public Administration or related disciplines; 
  • possess a professional membership of relevant professional institutions such as IFMA;
  • have at least 12 years of relevant experience, preferably in sizeable organisations or public sector;

  • have experience in the development and implementation of policies and guidelines in the areas of corporate governance, information management, regulatory etc;

  • be able to work under pressure and willing to take on new challenges, and anticipate the needs of the organisation and provide proactive and self-directed solutions;

  • demonstrate a high level of organisation, critical thinking and attention to details; and

  • possess strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
