Assistant Manager, Internal Audit (Ref:19160)

You will be responsible for:

  • assisting in development of an internal audit plan and following up on status of audit issues, supporting administrations of Audit Committee and Risk Management Committee and preparing relevant papers for review;
  • scheduling, planning and executing assigned internal audit projects / tasks and / or ad hoc reviews / investigations on different areas of the Authority to determine the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control and regulatory environment; preparing relevant reports for review by Chief Audit Executiveand / or Senior Manager or Manager of the Internal Audit Department;
  • ensuring the risks are effectively identified and constructive advices are provided on solving or mitigating risks and control issues;
  • providing support in facilitating internal and external audit efforts to ensure adequate audit coverage and to minimize duplicate efforts;
  • assisting in coordination and facilitation of risk management activities; and
  • supporting departmental administration works.

 

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Information Technology or equivalent;
  • possess a membership of an appropriate professional institution such as CIA, CPA, CMA or CISA;
  • have at least 6 years of experience in finance, accounting and auditing; recent experience in a comparable internal audit role would be preferred;
  • preferably have experience in developing and implementing internal control system and in public bodies or sizable organisation;
  • preferably possess knowledge and experience in areas of IT, property and construction management, performing arts or museum management; knowledge of ACONEX, CAAT tools such as ACL or control standards such as COSO, COBIT would be an advantage; and
  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
