You will be responsible for:

  • assisting in implementing integrated PR and publicity plans to promote various iconic venues, programmes and initiatives of visual arts, performing arts and West Kowloon Cultural District as a whole in Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas;
  • liaising and maintaining a constructive relationship with local, PRC and overseas media / KOLs; assisting in planning and organising media / KOL events and familiarisation visits;
  • organising PR events and publicity campaigns of the District and liaising with arts and cultural programme partners of other government organisations for joint PR collaboration opportunities;
  • preparing communications collaterals including press releases, fact sheets, presentation materials and other writing assignments if required;
  • assisting in message development and media handling, internal and external stakeholders liaison in crisis communications and issues handling;
  • working with external agencies, outsourced vendors and business partners on public relations and communications initiatives as necessary; and
  • handling daily media activities and operations, including enquiries, interviews, photo / video shooting, press release distribution, media coverage analysis and reporting and press contact lists maintenance.

 

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree in Public Affairs, Journalism, Communications or related disciplines;
  • have at least 3 years of relevant and solid experience in media / KOL relations, crisis communications, issues management, corporate communications, events management, internal communications, and sound knowledge of social media;
  • be able to execute projects independently with guidance to achieve the communications goals;
  • possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be a good team player with creativity and dynamism and able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines and work under pressure;
  • be passionate about arts and culture; and
  • have excellent spoken and written English and Chinese; be proficient in Putonghua.
