You will be responsible for:

  • assisting the Head, M+ Museum Security in the planning and development of the museum security policies and the implementation of museum safety measures and disaster preparedness programmes, etc. for the M+ Museum;
  • managing the security team operations to provide protection and security services for all events, exhibits, staff, and visitors;
  • handling the development of museum security operations and installation of security systems such as access card systems, guard tour equipment, intruder / fire alarm systems, and CCTV systems;
  • liaising with internal parties to define security needs for exhibitions and to ensure the security of shipment delivery and receipt of works of art;
  • reviewing contract requirements from lending institutions to ensure security requirements are met and recommending security devices and/or procedures to meet the changing needs of exhibitions;
  • liaising with the internal counterparts and relevant departments/authorities of the Government to ensure alignment with security policies and standards of West Kowloon Cultural District; and
  • developing and implementing staff training programmes and participating in internal and law enforcement agency investigations.

 

You should:

  • possess a recognized university degree or equivalent;
  • have at least 10 years of relevant supervisory experience in operational security management;
  • have proven experience on security initiatives and have an in-depth knowledge of legislation and regulations in the field of security;
  • be able to work across a complex and diverse organisation with a variety of different stakeholders;
  • possess in-depth knowledge of the security industry and the latest innovations in security technology and techniques; and
  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
