Senior Structural Engineer (Ref:19006)

You will be responsible for:

  • planning and reviewing engineering designs to ensure the effectiveness of the system for buildings and basement structure;
  • vetting structural plan submissions and conducting site inspection and witness tests on structural elements, foundations and their bearing strata;
  • managing design consultants and contractors to ensure programme and budget requirements are met;
  • ensuring project requirements are incorporated into detailed designs, works contract documents;
  • proactively identifying design and construction interface problems and liaising with designers and contractors to provide effective solutions;
  • managing consultant for independent quality review and testing services; and
  • any other duties as directed.

 

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree/master in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent; preferably with registration as Registered Structural Engineer (RSE);
  • possess a professional membership of relevant institution;
  • have at least 10 years of post qualification experience in design and construction of large scale multi-disciplinary projects;
  • be familiar with Hong Kong design codes and standards; and
  • possess good communication skills in both English and Chinese.
