You will be responsible for:

  • providing support for lawyers in preparing, revising and finalising legal documents;
  • accurately reviewing, proof-reading and assisting with any materials, including documents, reports, memos, briefings, presentations, forms and other items ensuring accuracy and completeness;
  • properly formatting and implementing styles of legal documents;
  • preparing simple contracts, tenancies, licences and documents for review by lawyers;
  • managing document files and archive of documents;
  • undertaking due diligence searches;
  • ensuring supporting materials (agendas, signage, A-V requirements) for meetings and events are prepared accurately and provided in a timely manner;
  • managing communications and correspondence (phone, voicemail, email, mail), responding when needed and bringing action items forward to appropriate individual lawyer’s attention;
  • managing calendars, including scheduling/arranging meetings, booking meeting rooms, and sending invitations and reminders when needed;
  • coordinating travel, hotel and car reservations and other claims and payments including verifying required documentation, when needed;
  • arranging couriers and deliveries ensuring time-sensitive material is received on time;
  • assisting in managing law library and control of legal templates;
  • providing secretarial services to support lawyers; and
  • proactively contributing to office activities to ensure an efficient and cohesive team environment.

 

You should:

  • possess Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE) or Form 7 standard or above;
  • have at least 8 years of legal assistant work experience, preferably with diploma in Legal Executive;
  • possess high degree of accuracy with strong attention to detail;
  • possess strong computer skills including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook; proficiency with Excel is an asset; and
  • have good spoken and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
