You will be responsible for:

  • supporting the Registrar on accessioning, cataloging, rehousing and general storage management of permanent collections as and when required;
  • assisting the Registrar on maintenance of exhibition object lists, creation of exhibition object records of loans and exhibitions and drafting of loan agreements as and when required;
  • maintaining documentation and receipts related to Collection and Exhibition activities according to established procedures;
  • tracking and updating locations for collections and loans via Collections Management System (TMS); and
  • supporting the day-to-day administrative processes to the Registration team.

 

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree, preferably in Art History, Fine Art, Museum Studies or equivalent;
  • have at least 1 year of experience in a museum or arts organisation, preferably in a registration and/ or collections management role;
  • have basic knowledge of fine art packing standards and terminology used in visual inspection of artworks;
  • have excellent computer skills, specifically relating to Collections Management software or other relational database systems, preferably TMS;
  • be highly-organised and detail-oriented;
  • have the ability to work independently and cooperatively with others in a fast-paced team environment; and
  • have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
