General Manager, District Facilities Services (Ref:18279)

Kowloon (WKCDA Project Site Office)

You will be responsible for:

  • overseeing all planning activities related to building and developing the organisation of the District Facilities Services Department and appropriate governance structure, processes and procedures to support the strategic direction of the WKCD;
  • establishing facilities management strategies, standards and policies for cost control, quality, safety, environment and visitor/customer satisfaction consistent with the overall strategic direction of visitor/occupants and tenants/customer experience in WKCD;
  • playing a critical role in the management of the WKCD visitor/occupants and tenants/customer experience as well as the operations of public and commercial events or temporary happenings held in the District;
  • supervising and managing of an in-house professional team and external service providers to ensure the quality of customer/visitor experience;
  • supervising the management of the performance of all service providers at the site against key performance indicators to be set by the Authority to ensure vigilant supervision of the service providers are exercised;
  • developing strategic and financial plan of all Repair & Maintenance and improvement works; and
  • establishing and maintaining external contacts with statutory authorities, other groups and associations applicable and beneficial to the services provided.


You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree, preferably in Facilities Management, Business Management or related disciplines;
  • have at least 15 years of relevant experience in facilities management, preferably in sizable organisations at district level;
  • preferably have a professional membership of relevant institution;
  • have solid hands-on experience in delivery of facilities services for high-end institution facilities with multiple stakeholders and senior managerial experience in strategic planning and execution of facility management plans at corporate level;
  • be able to quickly assess and provide leadership direction during unplanned incidents effecting business operations to minimise operational impact;
  • be focused on performance and delivering results with superior customer service;
  • demonstrate ability to plan, coordinate, and oversee complex facilities projects and initiatives; and
  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
