Manager, IT Retail Applications (Ref:18291)

You are responsible for:

  • leading and directing the development and implementation of retail applications roadmap (POS, e-Commerce, Inventory Management, Business analytics, Loyalty…etc.) with a yearly plan in collaboration and alignment with all Business Unit’s and IT functions to enable overall business strategy and fulfil its technology requirements;
  • evaluating and recommending new technologies/technology solution for retail and digital business;
  • managing complex projects such as retail applications through implementing standard project management processes in coordination with business team and vendors to ensure deliverables are in alignment with requirements and following the defined governance policies and best practices;
  • defining and documenting overall systems architecture and interfaces between different systems according to business strategy and industry standards;
  • ensuring the corrective, evolutionary and technical maintenance of the applications; coordinate any interventions that are needed in order to deal with maintenance for level 2 and 3 and exceptional situations and define the emergency action plans;
  • recommending new business opportunities, new systems and processes; identify simplification and documentation and improvements in operations;
  • participating in the selection of external suppliers as well as the outsourced services under contract; whilst managing the vendor contracts; and
  • developing and maintaining effective relationships / communication with internal users and external suppliers.

 

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree in Computer Science or Information Systems;
  • have minimum of 10 years of experience in IT with at least 8 years of experiences in project manager and/or business analyst role, preferably in sizable organization;
  • possess a holder of PMP or Prince2;
  • possess a technical certification in ITIL and/or SCRUM is an advantage;
  • have in-depth knowledge of retail solutions and processes;
  • have solid experience in large technology initiatives using a hybrid mix of traditional and agile SDLC methodologies; and
  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
