M+ is a museum dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting visual art, design and architecture, moving image, and Hong Kong visual culture of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Reporting to the Head, Development of M Plus Museum Limited, the candidate will play a key role in managing all major fundraising events from concept generation, planning to execution, aiming to drive significant financial impact to the Company in the format of major gifts or sponsorship.


You will be responsible for:

  • working closely with the team to manage all major fundraising events in different geographical locations for M+ as part of an intense events programme, including but not limited to annual VIP dinners, cocktail events, talks, conferences, etc. as required to drive fundraising target of different aspects;
  • working closely with internal stakeholders on formulating new corporate events and deriving event schedule within overall event calendar;
  • managing event budgets and drive procurement process for external vendors such as event management company, PR firm, caterers, photographers and production house to ensure all relevant stakeholders are collaborating seamlessly, delivering excellent service quality and meeting deadline as committed;
  • developing and managing event logistics, RSVPs and all event communications such as brochures, leaflets, website content, social media platform and e-marketing to facilitate promotion of events.


You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree in event management, marketing or other relevant disciplines;
  • have at least 5 years of relevant project or event management experience dealing with high-end audience and products, preferably in event organiser, event management agency or other relevant industries;
  • possess experience in managing sizable events in HK or other countries for corporate, affluence and high social status individuals with a high level of sophistication;
  • have outstanding negotiation, organisation, analytical and problem solving skills;
  • demonstrate high level of confident, reliable, independent and initiative; and
  • have excellent presentation and communication skills in both oral and written English.
