Manager, Security (District Emergency Planning and Risk Management) (Ref:17204)

You will be responsible for:

  • assisting the Chief Safety and Security Officer in the design, development and implementation of District emergency management, major incident management and contingency planning procedures, policies and standards;
  • overseeing major event management procedures, policies and standards;
  • managing risk assessment protocols for major events, including crowd, traffic and security management;
  • assessing the impact of local and regional and worldwide threats and crisis events on workplace and guest safety, asset security, information security, business continuity and loss prevention;
  • developing staff training programmes and exercises to ensure employees are aware of and comply with emergency and crisis response protocols; and
  • liaising with relevant Government departments on emergency planning and major event related matters within the District.

 

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree or equivalent;
  • have at least 10 years of relevant experience in a security / emergency management role, of which 5 years are post-qualification experience at management level in a large organisation;
  • have strong leadership experience in managing security functions or with expertise in large scale event planning and management, risk management and crisis management;
  • possess in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation in the field of security;
  • be able to engage and communicate with multiple stakeholders and different working levels of personnel; and
  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
