Senior Manager, Contracts (Ref:17198)

Kowloon (WKCDA Project Site Office)

You will be responsible for:

  • establishing contracting strategy for all construction contracts of the Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM) project;
  • managing and working closely with the external quantity surveying consultant throughout the contract procurement stages to ensure the contracting strategy and WKCDA's procurement policy and guidelines are adhered to;
  • planning, organising and directing staff for the contract formulation of the project including preparation of all necessary tender documentation and provision of contract services;
  • keeping up-to-date on financial and contractual status of all building / services contracts for the HKPM project;
  • ensuring the tender contracts are awarded in time and properly administered, and maintaining the quality of documents in high professional standard;
  • providing contract advice and disputes resolution supports to ensure contractual disputes and claims are handled and resolved equitably; and
  • liaising with internal departments to develop and implement long-term strategic procurement policies for new contracts and contract renewals.


You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree in quantity surveying, construction project management, building, architecture or equivalent;
  • possess a professional membership of relevant institution such as HKIS, RICS or equivalent;
  • have at least 12 years of post-qualification experience in quantity surveying and contract management;
  • have experience in government or institutional projects, public infrastructure works or large scale building development; Relevant experience in projects related to art and cultural would be an advantage; and
  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
