Senior Quantity Surveyor (Ref:17197)

You will be responsible for:

  • supporting the Senior Manager, Contracts in formulating and implementing an effective procurement strategy and contract management structure for the Hong Kong Palace Museum;
  • overseeing and managing pre-contract and post-contract aspects of quantity surveying duties including but not limited to cost estimates, contract procurement and administration, tender documents and accounts settlement, and cost reporting;
  • sourcing, procuring and managing construction and consultancy contracts;
  • managing, facilitating and supporting the quantity surveying consultant on contract procurement and contract administration, and assisting in assessment of contractual claims; and
  • preparing periodic cost statements for the purposes of cost recovery from project donor.

 

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree in quantity surveying, construction project management, building, architecture or equivalent;
  • possess a professional membership of relevant institution such as HKIS, RICS or equivalent;
  • have at least 10 years of post-qualification experience in quantity surveying and contract management;
  • have experience in government or institutional projects, public infrastructure works or large scale building development; Relevant experience in projects related to art and cultural would be an advantage; and
  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
